Update your wardrobe this spring with floral fashion... read more
With glimpses of warmer weather and sunshine appearing across the horizon it’s the ideal time to start thinking about how you’re going to incorporate spring looks into your wardrobe. For us, floral fashion is the perfect way to get into the Spring of things (see what we did there 😀 ) and we’ve launched a must have dress that you NEED to buy. Gemma from Jacquard Flower shows us that florals when combined with ruffles make the ideal look this season…
Hi I’m Gemma from Jacquard Flower Blog and I’m excited to be blogging here today at Laura Ashley and sharing my thoughts on some items from the new spring collection.
Spring is on the way and the flowers are starting to bloom in nature as well as our wardrobes! The last few days we’ve even seen a peek of the sun and blue skies.
The dress incorporates both the ruffle and floral trend as seen on many of the runways for SS17. I always love to wear pretty dresses like this one in the warmer months as they make a complete effortless outfit. I love the flattering midi length too. The tasselled bag is also very on trend and gives the whole look a vintage boho feel which is a key part of the Terracotta collection and the trends of this season. At Laura Ashley they always add such lovely details to the clothes and accessories. I love the hand painted floral print and the tassel detail on the bag which has a real 70s feel. It’s a great size for everyday and it fits all my essentials including wallet, phone and my lipstick.
The Bell Sleeve Floral Midi dress could easily be styled up for an evening out or occasion with a pair of heels and a clutch. I think it’s a smart buy as it would work all year round being a dark print, so could easily be work in the autumn and winter with some thick tights and boots. In today’s outfit I have added my own fishnet tights and ankle boots giving the outfit a modern twist keeping it very on trend for this season.
